just a quick questoin laptops on the dell outlet are they cosmetically fine?

Perfect I believe as they are just cancelled orders, so they haven't even left Dell. I did see a few on there with german instructions and such though.

Yes they will be 100%, also ignore any of the other country spec stuff like keyboard etc it will all be converted to UK before they send it.

The only difference from 'new' ones is the small 'Dell Outlet' sticker on the bottom.

They also have an ebay outlet where some are listed as 'scratched' or 'dented'

Hi,

I bought a M1730 from the dell outlet about 2 months ago and the superb finish was badly scratched down to the metal underneath so i returned it. They are not all cancelled orders some are ones that have been returned to dell becuase customers werent happy for whatever reason. So in answer to your question no they are not always perfect.

well mine is perfect, i got a 1720, t8100 cpu, 2gb, 250gb 7200 h/d, 8600m gt graphics, bluetooth,remote, 9 cell battery for 530 pounds all in.

nearly 900 pounds on main DELL site for same spec.

mine was perfect excpet for the vista and intel stickers both were pealing off, not that i was bothered about that

I've bought four laptops from their outlet and no problems with any of them - in fact I would never buy new from Dell, there's some fantastic bargains to be had with their refurbished machines.
