Hi,

When it comes to Dell's Premium Pixel Guarantee, can anyone confirm that if the monitor needs replacing it will be for a BRAND NEW UNUSED one by Dell, and not a refurbished one if it needs replacing in the first 30 days.

Also has anyone had experience on this, did they get a brand new one or if they did get a rweburbished one did Dell replace it with a new one without any issues ?

In the first say 28 days they will replace with a new one.

After this date they will replace with a refurbished one.

My 2 2408Wfpbs have broken in the past, simple call and they were replaced next day.
(they delivery new one, you test it and if your happy they take old one away there and then)

On the basis of this I have just order one...

Hope all goes well, I offen hum and har over a £30 pair of shoes and I've just blown almost half a grand on a monitor !!

Getting it delivered to my work address so in the meantime I can retroactively get the misses authorisation of this purchase !

Mine had a dead pixel, and upon returning to Dell, below is what I got

Yeah I saw mate, hows it going in regards to getting it sorted, have Dell responded yet ?

Yup buddy, they did, and wanted to send out another, but I refused. I don't trust them.

After a while of dealing with Customer Services from where I bought the monitor from, they are sending me out a brand new unopened box replacement themselves.

They have a shipment of new stock coming in on Friday, and I'm first on the list :)

Hopefully, that will be that, but I'm also assured of the same again from supplier should it also be faulty.

They know I won't deal with Dell direct again, hence the above measures :)

Amazing what service you get when you threaten a refund ;)
 
Got my monitor today, chuffed to bits...no dead or stuck pixels and coming for a 17" it looks absolutely MASSIVE !!
