So ive been looking for laptops and got a bit confused.
Theres a Dell Inspirion 1525 and a Dell Insprion 1525... notice the difference? Theres a lot more than an 'i's worth of difference in the spec.

Any one know what its all about?

Spookily I was looking at the same thing today. Two sites selling the 1525. One site says its a celeron for £100 more than the other site selling the same 1525 but with a dual core and no mention of celeron...

Ive seen 'this' (if it is only 1 laptop) for £349 with different specs from the Dell site, im enclined to think that Dell site would be right and that the other site has made a muck up. Im tempted to order the laptop and see what arrives...

I cant see how Dell could make a totally different laptop and only change one letter in the name, im sure they wouldnt be that stupid because of all the complaints that would undoubtally arise.

I didnt notice the 'i' letter at all but when I looked in the tech specs, I was a bit suspicious as to what would turn up too. My mate asked for a laptop around the £300 mark and if the site can deliver a dual core for £100 less than an apparent celeron then I told them its worth ordering and if it is described incorrectly, it can go back. Anything else is a bonus, every little helps!

I see on the Dell site that you can customise the laptops. Thats what other companys have done. They also skimp on the operating system to cut their costs down.
