Dell purchase

Purchased a Dell 1721 notebook on 30/12/07 and its till in pre production, this seems a hell off a long time ? There were as far as I could see no delays on these models? Whats the general experience of folks who have ordered ?

yes maybe not being fair, I do have a delivery date of on or before the 18 jan, which seems along time, too impatient :eek:

well not good news so far still no movement on my order, supposed to be delivered by the 18th I have my doubts

They have had a shortage of the screens which come with the "truelife" addition to them.

funny that i got an email on 16th saying it was put back to that date in Feb but on order status it was dispatched, eventually got it on the 21st, although delivery folk forgot about it and one of the guys heading home delivered it !!! Happy with it though, very nice looking machine. If only i could get hold of the 64bit drivers so I can try out vista 64bit.
