Hello, need a little help!

Came into work this morning to change the back up tapes, and the tape drives LCD is displaying "ERROR! A0" anyone know what this could be? Ive had a look on the dell website and it says

"Error occured during carousel movement (position not found). Could be caused by a missing or misaligned cartridge carrier, or an obstruction, or unexpected cartridge in either the carousel path or Import/Export slot."

Im thinking the only way I can fix this is to manually remove the tapes by removing the top cover.

I think the problem is because someone!!! (at the weekend) has came in and restarted the server whilst it was backing up! whats also strange is that there is 8 tapes in the drive at the moment but its not showing tape 4 as being imported.

The carousel inside sounds like its been bumped like you say. They aren't that difficult to open from memory (been a year or two since I seen one) and they aren't frightfully complex inside.

Worth a look if it isn't under warranty. Otherwise phone Dell.

bahh dont know if it is! ive not been working here for that long! yet ive been left on my own for 2 weeks whilst the boss takes a holiday.. better not open up just incase it has a warrenty!
