Dell S2716DG 27" or Acer Predator XB271HU 27"

In my search for a new 27" 1440p monitor, I have narrowed it down to these 2. Just after people opinions/experiences with either of these.

And I know, they're TN, not IPS, but unfortunately IPS tips them just out of my budget from what I've found.

Any input appreciated, thanks!

It was £500 to start with, but I'm willing to go a little over that, so £550-600 max.

Is there anything better at that price range?

I'd have to recommend the Dell - better chance of getting a good one. The Acer is a decent monitor but so far in my experience higher chance of getting a less than ideal example of the monitor compared to the Dell.

I have been leaning towards the Dell, purely for quality reasons.

I was also considering the Asus ROG Swift PG278QR, but I think it is basically the same as the Acer.

The new LG 32.5" 1440p G-Sync VA is here soon, price is like $800ish so not sure what here.

If that was out now, it would be very tempting. It ticks all of the boxes, but I have a feeling it will end up costing at least £750-£800 here aswell, which puts it out of my budget.

How soon are we talking, this year or 2018?

The LG Rep; says 2018 in that thread, which could be less than 8 weeks away, there is also a YT video at end of the thread.

32" 1440p would be nice pixel density like 24" 1080p AFAIK, not too small to see and have to rely on Windows poor scaling.

I've had 27" 1440p and somethings I strained with 20/20or better vision (tested few weeks back).

I am on a 27" 1080p G-sync as a fill gap and its little blocky at times but its a VA (tried TN and IPS Asus Rogs) and no pixel or bleed or ghosting issues.
