Dell S2716DG - Dells first G-sync

I received and installed mine - it looks amazing! No dead pixels.

I come from a very standard 27'' 1080p 60hz, so this Dell looks stunning.
QHD is amazing: I feel like I can squint to catch details in the distance. Driving in Watch Dogs 2 feels great.
Watch Dogs 2 works really well, between 60 and 80 fps with many graphic settings on extra.

The seal was broken, I had to check the content before signing. Everything was in order, thankfully, and the monitor looked like it had never been touched.

Got scared a bit when the monitor turned dark every 10 seconds after I selected the 120hz mode. Then I installed the drivers, changed the DP cable (picked the one from the box) and changed the frequency in the Nvidia drivers. Everything is fine now (not sure now what the problem was?)

Glad to here. Still not paying £589.99 though. Places really do have to push it some times I would pay £515 tops as it was last week. cheaper the better. :P

What card you using?.

I use a 1080gtx.

I got the monitor at an insane price - until the moment I received it and plugged it in, I really didn't believe my luck. It seems to be real, though, so I'm touching wood (with all my limbs and tongue).

Colours are very convincing: the blacks look so much deeper than on my old TN monitor.

It was manufactured in September 2016.

I didn't realize it was that new to be honest. But £110 what a bargin. Wish I got it on amazon when it was £403 but it was only at that price for a couple of hour. Still will wait until it comes back down to £515 or lower. hint hint hint oc.

I'm checking all sites 3 times a day as well to see if price drops lol.

I tried the AOC Z35 before but returned it because of the G2G response and horrible black trails making all blurry. I did enjoy the beautiful blacks from the MVA panel and I was gutted to go back to TN.
Well, honestly, the blacks on the Dell are really nice, nothing like what I had on my previous TN. Beautiful screen, I'm glad I didn't go for a IPS panel in the end. Btw, I didn't calibrate the screen, I might in the near future.

There's going to be a big price drop on Gsync monitors: Nvidia has announced a new Gsync (Gsync HDR) and that's going to trigger a product lines renewal. Destock prices coming.

I'm happy with £499 spent on worse and should be a lot better then my asus vg27he monitor. Should come next week. At least I have 2 screen now though.

I've been watching this on Amazon and although it's temporarily OOS, Amazon themselves are allowing orders to be placed on this monitor for £494 delivered! I think that's as good a deal as you'll find from a trustworthy and hassle free returns seller.

Any news on the 2017 monitor? I noticed these went out of stock recently and thought it was removed completely from the store so assumed the updated one was incoming but now back in stock again. Also think it was listed as obsolete or end of line on another website but can't find it now?

How much colour improvement is this. On my monitor now I have 16.7m (6-bit + FRC) colour depth on the dell I will have 16.7m (8-bit). The colour on my monitor at the moment is really bad and just wanted to no the difference. Cant wait. lol

Does anyone know a utility, from Dell or others, to change the brightness / contrast quickly?

It's annoying going through the OSD every time I need to go from gaming to working or browsing the web.
