Sup fellow Gamers.

Having a hard time choosing between these two. I know the Dell is a TN and the VS is IPS. I'm a big fan of vibrant colours, just seeing the clarity of rain falling in a nice green grassy background or the clarity of the night sky for example. I'm a sucker for vibrant, clean visuals. I also want the benefits of G-Sync and a faster refresh rate so I've decided to narrow it down to these two although I would consider recommendations at a similar price or less on the same level.

How do these stack up? I've heard the Dell is excellent for a TN panel and has a more reliable panel in terms of dead pixels and QC?

The Dell is the better gaming monitor as it has faster pixel response times. But, the Viewsonic has much better colour accuracy, at the expense of response times causing some additional motion blur.

The Dell TN monitors do not suffer from the panel lottery anything like the 1440 IPS G-Sync monitors. If you do get the Viewsonic, buy it from somewhere with a decent returns policy.

As you say that you're a big fan of vibrant colours, I would go for the Viewsonic monitor (or whichever equivalent Asus/Acer/AOC is cheaper).
This whole Panel lottery is the ratio to getting a bad one to good that bad?

Wow that is sounding like a bit of a deal breaker. Is the TN panel on the Dell good enough for visuals? people make out TN is awful in comments.

Going to take the risk with ViewSonic, the panels look lovely. I've been lucky with 99 percent of my purchases so a little positive thinking!

Keep going back and fourth I'm leading towards the Dell now LOL watching the speed of that monitor seems like it will be really engaging to use, it's tough. The only thing I'm holding on to VS is the display.

Either way yes it will be from the Rain Forrest.

I went to visit a friend today who actually owns both(Well the IPS is AOC AGON but same panel) Are people seriously exaggerating about TN panels? Comparing the two I felt the Dell had a slightly less punchy image but only in direct comparison. Obviously the viewing angles are worse on the TN. I felt both were great screens. I can't say I notice a speed difference but this was with the Witcher 3 I did notice weather effects and towns felt more smooth.. After seeing the Dell I can't see why people complaint about them. Ordered one after today.

My current Monitor is a AOC VA 32" and I feel the Dell is nicer, my current monitor is grainy and washed out.
