Hi guys

Im in the market for a new screen might buy tonight as i need it in a hurry really

I want as much res as i can get for the size dont really want to go as big as a 24" but will if its worth it not bothered about it being IPS a TN or what ever will do fine

got a budget of up to around £180 but lower would be better

Screen will be used as tri screen in the near future and is used for coding PS gaming and work

Ive been looking at the Samsung SM2343
and the BENQ G2220HD
but im sure there is a great Dell out there but i cant seem to find it now

Samsung SM2343BW

Dell S2309W 23

Viewsonic VX2260wm 22

Benq g220hd

btw that price on the sm2343bw isnt what ocuk hav it listed at maybe you want to remove it? ;)

Samsung is my only choice when it comes to monitors. There excellent build quality, sleek style and beautiful performance, makes it a no brainer for me.

Agree the build quality is great etc but when i compared a sammy to my BenQ G2410HD i went for the BenQ.

Saving myself over £60 (compared with the SM2433BW) and the screen is just as sharp and clear as the samsung. Very very impressed with mine.

All my games are now so much sharper and clearer

The screen arrived today well what to say... ive only used it for a few mins but wow its pretty big! very wide and the stand is the best ive seen, it moves with the lightest touch yet doesnt feel flimzy

The picture quality is great just shot though a few HD films and it looks fantasic i havent tried crysis yet but will do soon.

I havnt played with the settings yet so this is all first impressions but its a huge improvement from 3 17"s

I thought that until I recently purchased a Samsung SM2443BW monitor and had nothing but problems. I've had it replaced 3 times by Samsung and each one has arrived with problems!
Just this morning after a lot of discussing with Samsung and the retailer I have got them to agree to a full refund!

I really liked the monitor, the first one I had delivered was brilliant for about 3 weeks. The replacements lasted 2 mins before I was on the phone to Samsung again. I'll be purchasing another monitor shortly to replace this and it won't be a Samsung.

The worst thing about it all is Samsung customer care.. really bad!

that fills me with confidence i hope it was just an unlucky isolated case as they sell 1000's of screens theres gonna b some bad ones

I've just taken delivery of a samsung T220 for a mate so I had a chance to do a side by side comparison with me Dell 2209WA and I can safely say the Dell is a better screen. with the Dell, colours are crisper and image is sharper and the menu is so much easier to navigate. Some ppl might disagree and thats fine a this is only a personal opinion, but theres a lot who would agree I reckon. Pricewise the Dell is deffo worth the extra dosh.
