hi any 1 here got a Dell Studio 15 laptop, as im thinking of buying 1 for every
day use, surfing, email, media playback and so on.

should i get 1 or would you go for some think else ?

thanks for any help

I have one for that, and also use some solid edge cad on it.

Works fine, however, and it is a big however.. the speakers are the worst I've ever had the misfortune of hearing. They sound like headphones cranked up when off your head. You absolutely need separate speakers or headphones for music etc. I plug into a hi-fi, so it sounds ace for music.

However, the touch keys, and overall package, including how configurable it is are pretty awesome I reckon.

I'd recommend asking for the remote control (£10 ish) if you buy over the phone, although for some reason I couldn't see it when I was looking online.

Also the illuminated keyboard is very nice!

I just have the standard 1280x800 screen and I think it looks good, and the touch media keys are pretty snazzy.

thanks for the reply georges, my speakers on me acer laptop are crap as well
ive always used ear phones. so that's ok. im thinking of geting the backlit keyboard
but still not to sure yet. thanks for the tip on the remote

Yeah go for it. They look very sleek and the build quality is great, the touch sensitive controls are nice too. I just got mine the other day, after getting a refund for a sony vaio which wasn't up to scratch and I'm now glad I have this. :)
