I have had 2 of these now.
1st one had zero condensation, bright or dead pixels, almost no backlight bleed, but had a 3mm long white chip on inside glass and some annoying dust spots on inside glass around the chip. Was replaced.
The replacement I got last week has no scratches, no bright or dead pixels, only a very tiny amount of backlight bleed which is very hard to see and could even be ips glow. However it did have some minor condensation which cleared in an hour. I have noticed however when the room is cold, some haze can reappear on the inside of the glass (only noticeable in very bright or sunlit room where the screen isn't usable in anyway) but it clears when room warms up.
Again, I have tiny dust dots behind the glass on the replacement screen too. 4 spots spread out, stuck to inside of glass, each smaller than a pixel. However I've come to the conclusion all monitors with glass fronts have this "issue", unless you are very lucky. My imac has it, and my friends hazzro and s2440l have it also. To be honest, the spots can only be spotted on the s2740l in a sun drenched room with the monitor turned off, and from about 4 or 5 inches away. This is an environment you can't use the screen in anyway. Plus in actual use because the panel is offset inside the glass, you will never see these spots when there is an image on the screen, even a white desktop, unlike the iMac where they show up on a white desktop, and look like tiny stuck subpixels. The only thing I will say, is be careful cleaning the glass and always use a clean microfibre cloth. I use the Moshi terraglove as recommended for mac screens. One side for dust, one side for smudges. I imagine it would be very very easy to scratch the glass, and the few times I've got smudges I have moistened the glove before cleaning the screen. I find the best solution when not using it by the way, is to put the plastic cover that comes with screen over it. Perfect fit.
As for gaming, I'm well impressed. No noticeable lag, and I can't see the overshoot on Halo4 or Skyrim. I use normal mode on this screen, have the shaprness turned down to 20 (to help with Aliasing on 360 games), contrast at 85, brightness at 50. I have the 360 set to expanded mode and RGB so I get the full 0-255 range, and I get no black crush, banding, or washed out colours.
