Dell Support....

That's rubbish, it's a selling feature of their higher-end monitors - was this someone in the UK?

yeah it was someone from the Scotland call centre. The first time I rang, the guy had to check if I could change the monitor based on one dead pixel but I ended up running out of credit on my phone :o.

The second guy said it needs 2 or more dead pixels for it to get changed for but he said he would get it changed for a serviced monitor as a good will gesture. He also said the premium panel Guarantee had to be purchase and mine didn't have it.

I then emailed the company I brought it from and they said Dell should change it with only 1 dead pixel. :confused:

Anyway I got the monitor swapped the other day and it was a REV A01!

Called up and complained about the lower spec 2409 so they're sending me a 2408 HC :D

You might be able to get one with the new A01 firmware, since I read some other guy got one when he got his replacement and I just got one a few days ago.

Asking the when can we pick the monitor up !!!!!!!!

Jesus H , they are taking incompetance to new levels of tardness

They have had the monitor for 6 weeks now .......

Well, when I ordered a 2408 they ended up sending me two...I think it's a case of the one hand not knowing what the other is doing.
 
Got the 2408 and it's a A00, guess what else it has...? Dead pixels ffs! called them up and they're going to send another new one out.
