Dell Technologies Alienware AW3821DW - Flickering at 30Hz

I received the tech support email today about the issue ( which I have not encountered ) but I am confused about several points the support email makes.

It basically says not to run the monitor at a refresh rate of 30Hz, because it is optimally set up for high refresh rates. It then tells you how to select a higher refresh rate in Windows.

Thing is, that there isn't even a 30Hz option in my settings so why in heck do I need telling not to run it at 30Hz?

Under some circumstances is there a 30Hz refresh rate? Perhaps on HDMI or HDR or something?? What am I missing??

Ah OK, I kinda answered the question myself. There is a 30Hz setting in the manual, but this is not available on the DP, so I am guessing it is only available when you are using some other input.
So the answer to this is to simply use the DP input on the monitor OR make sure that Windows has not defaulted to 30Hz in the settings. Easy, really.
