Dell u2312hm black edge problem

Hi all, I have a Dell u2312hm. I have it running 1920x1080 resolution, using DVI cable. However, the screen doesn't fully fit the monitor. There is a black edge on the top and right hand side, about 2mm wide. This is a fairly new monitor, which I bought only a month or so ago, and it did not have this problem till today. i have gone into all the settings on the monitor and on my AMD HD 7950 graphics card with no luck. I have even plugged in VGA cable and tried both auto adjust and manual adjust.

Can anyone else offer any advise on what else I can try to fix this?

I have this monitor and there's a black edge all the way around, only noticed it now after checking. Yours is probably something different though as you said it didn't have the problem before

Have you tried resinstalling the graphics card drivers?

Yeah, mine had a tiny black edge all the way round too, but it seems to have grown on the top and right side. It's now at least double the width on the top, and triple the width on the right. I have reinstalled both drivers for graphics card and monitor.
