Dell U2312HM power button unresponsive

I've bought a Dell U2312HM (not from OC) and the power button seems to not work roughly 1 in 4 times you press it. Has anyone else experienced this? Looking like a return to me.

It sounds like you will need to get rma'd as I have 27 inch version and the power button has no issues.

I initially thought it was how hard or certain areas of the button you pressed but it seems not. If you power yours on and off in quick succession does it respond to each request correctly?

Mine just switches on and off as you would expect it to.

Suspect the kettle lead has an issue as it makes a static noise when wiggled around. Same on a different monitor. I think the power button also has issues though as if it was purely the kettle lead I'd have thought the image would flicker.

No there isn't a delay it just seems to not respond to some presses but it does to others.

I think it will likley just be an issue with the monitor as all the monitors I have put power leads in do that noise.
