Merry Xmas !!

I have just took the plunge to treat myself to a Dell U2410, just have a couple of questions.

1) How many people have used a calibration device with this? i.e. spyder or Xrite....

2) If I was going to buy a calibration device could anyone recommend one?

3) Is it possible to rent such a device?

Many Thanks in Advance

dont think you can rent one sadly, but the X-rite i! Display 2 would be a very good option and a very highly regarded device. you could start also by trying the ICC profile and settings available for the U2410 which might help:

Sorry to raise an old thread but i thought it would be better than starting a new one. I have read that you have to be very careful with regards to which calibrator you get for a wide gamut monitor like the u2410. Consequently I am really confused about which one to get.

Anyone got any ideas?

i was going to get the x-rite iDisplay 2 but have heard that it does not support wide gamut!

Thanks Bint - I have now joined that thread. Feeling a bit sad about the whole situation.

As I said above, this is only my understanding, Adrian who is contributing to that thread is a lot more clued up than me on this subject. I have only relayed my understanding of the situation which could be wrong. Perhaps best not to despair yet......
