I turned on my PC today after not having turned it on for about 2 weeks and I noticed that the power LED on my U2410 was much dimmer than usual and had a slight flicker. I later put the PC to sleep and turned it back on to find the blue power LED light had completely gone out and refused to illuminate. The orange one still lights when the monitor is asleep but when the monitor is on the blue light no longer lights :( The monitor is only 3 months old as well!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Yeah, it's happened to my 2209WA.

I think only within a couple of weeks of me buying it, it was dim and flickered for a few days before it died.

In one way it's a benefit, the blue LED was quite bright and a little distracting when watching movies, but it's always frustrating when something isn't working properly. :(

The thing that annoys me most is the fact that dell retails this product for a ridiculously high price and they can't even provide a working bulb for the power light. Not impressed :(

RMA it. It's a genuine fault so there should be nothing they can say about it considering how much it costs and how much it would cost them to fix 1 LED.

I won't RMA with that small issue if LCD panel is still good. If RMA you can receive a LCD that not good as the one using, for example: bleed blight, uniformnity...

The Power LED on my U2410 died after a month or so. It flickered for a while before going all together.

But other than the power LED issue, are you happy with it, would you recommend it?

I've had one in my basket for over a week now with the mouse hovering near the Checkout button...

Or should I go U2711 instead....???!!!

Well said. It took me 5 trys to get a 2209wa that didnt have problems (no way I'd part with a decent panel with that problem) Its sods law that you'd probably end up with a worse problem. If I could turn off the LED on mine I would anyway. Bonus. :D

Whilst the U2711 does look lovely, I would still take two U2410s (which would cost about the same !)

The rest of the panel works fine and after reading other peoples complaints about tinting etc I have decided not to RMA as I don't want to risk getting a bad replacement.
