Today I started my pc which hadn't been used for a couple of months, but after about 10mins I got an error message saying something about the drivers having recovered, at the same time the monitor became scrambled. I now have a screen that is made up of lots of white squares from top to bottom. It looks like snow, lol. Now I'm wondering if it's the graphics card/drivers or maybe a monitor problem. I have restarted it and shows the same problem, whilst booting. I can get hold of another monitor tomorrow, but I think it's more to do with either the drivers, or even the card. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

TIA

It is probably a mixture of Card / Drivers. Usually (from my experience) if a monitor goes, it will either turn off and never come back on or lines of pixels turn off/ go purplish in colour.

Try tomorrow, if it's still happening are you able to secure another card? Just so you could perhaps uninstall the drivers and install new ones and then try with the current graphics card again.

No havn't got another card, so will try the other monitor tomorrow. I thought as its the same booting, before the drivers get loaded, it could possibly be the card, but I suppose I'll have to wait till tomorrow. Thanks for the input.
