Thinking of buying a Dell U2413 but what else should I consider? It will be used alongside an Eizo S2242W and I mostly do photography. I don't play games or watch videos so weaknesses in those areas don't bother me.

Absolute Requirements:
  • Under £400 including VAT etc.
  • 24" - there isn't room on my desk for a bigger monitor
  • DVI & HDMI connections
  • Tilt, swivel, height, rotate stand adjustment

Big Pluses for:
  • 1920 x 1200 resolution
  • Wide gamut

Not required:
  • VGA
  • Displayport
  • Sound
  • USB

I would say go for the u2415 unless you don't have any of the new connectors.

Unforunately the U2415 does not have the wide gamut.

At the moment, in the Dell line up there isn't an updated model for the U2413.

And I think for your budget, sticking with the U2413 is your best option.

It's ordered, on the phone after some problems with paying via the website. Reading TFTCentral it's impressively accurate in the factory-calibrated options.

another mainstream alternative would be the Asus PA249Q as well, very similar to the Dell without getting into the expensive realms of NEC and Eizo versions

Ye i would go with the other h=guys it looks like for the specs and your requirements i would stick to what you have found. However some of the iiyama products also seem to provide what you want and for reasonable prices maybe check them out.

Too late @simpleMr & Baddass as I've ordered the Dell. Still waiting for the display on the website to change from 'Due soon' to 'In Stock'. If it weren't that I'm waiting for the replacement memory for the PC it would be agonising!
