Dell U2415 vs U2212hm glow diference.

Hi

I bought the U2415 5 days ago.

Its a great monitor but I noticed eyestrain even with small amount of usage.

Until yesterday i compared the two monitors side by side and found out the U2415 has a lot of glow. Even at low brightness settings I can feel eyestrain and the glow doesn't matter if its daylight or at night. Even black image doesnt look right, it definitely is not black.

Also aded comparison with a dell inspiron 3537 . Cheap laptop with glossy screen. TBH this type of glow doesnt look right for an 200 euro IPS panel.

If you’ve adjusted the monitor and you still don’t like it then return it for a refund.

doesnt appear to be any kind of known defects. IPS panels are know to have backlight leakage some are worst than others. if you dont find it suitable return it.

imgine in your second link is hardly conclusion under normal usage condition. glow is only usually visible under low light scene and low light environment. it is ill-advised to be looking at a monitor for prolonged time in dark rooms.
