Dell U2515H

No the box was 100%, including the interior packaging, nothing wrong with it at all.

Clearly some sort of fault at the factory but if that was the case you'd think it would have been stopped by QC.

Will it snap back in at all? monitors and TV's today have such flimsy frames that it might have just popped out at some point?

About to pull the trigger on one of these, everything I've read about them sounds fantastic and it should be the perfect fit for me.

One quick (noob) question before I do though: I'm not familiar with DisplayPort but noticed that my graphics card has a DisplayPort output; should it simply be a case of connecting it to the corresponding port on the monitor and I'm good to go, or am I likely to have problems if for example I have a 1.1 port instead of a 1.2?

The monitor comes with a Mini DisplayPort to Displayport cable so if you're like me and your card only has the standard Displayport you will need to plug the lead into the mini displayport on the monitor itself - it's all the same anyway.

Good to know thanks, it's hard to keep up with all these newfangled video adapter standards! :p

I wish I had seen this thread a couple of weeks ago; I just bought a pair of used Dell U3011 for roughly the same price as a pair of these! :(

Ordered one today so getting it tomorrow. What settings are people using with it? Is there much to change with brightness/contrast etc?

Tftcentral usually has a profile recommend. Although panel variance happens, the recommendations will give you a starting point.

Mine has just landed with the retailer I bought it off :(

As mentioned in my previous posts the bezel was just too bad to keep and although they had none left I could not justify keeping it so away it went - eventually.

Just on the Macbook now and no monitor for the desktop - and I have FarCry 4 and GTA 5 ready to play!!!

I really did like the Dell so I don't know whether to wait for another one to come available for the price I originally paid elsewhere (£245) or plump for something else.

I really do like the look of the Asus MG279Q but of course as with all monitors that I have taken an interest in this last year it's not available yet!

Just buy it from here... what's another £25?

Mine's from OcUK and it's perfect.

£35 as I live in Northern Ireland and postage is £9.99 extra whether I want it or not.

So when you're into those sorts of figures you may as well start looking at 27's....
