My Dell U2711 had a problem with the panel and I sent it back for repair around 2 weeks ago. It was lost / stolen during transit so I will be getting a brand new one soon.

Would I be best off selling the U2711 for ~£600 and getting something like either of these or stick with the Dell?

Samsung S27A950D 27" 120Hz 3D Widescreen Ultra Thin LED Monitor - Glossy Black [LS27A950DS/EN] - £600

Hazro HZ27WA 10-Bit 27" LED Widescreen Professional Glass Monitor - Black - £550

It was a great monitor (until it developed a fault) but now I see all this 120hz and 3d stuff coming along in the similar price bracket. The only thing I didnt like aobut the U2711 was the anti-glare coating (too much of it)

What do you use the montior for?... Going from an IPS monitor to anything else will be a downgrade in terms of picture quality, colour reproduction etc...

I personally would keep the new Ultrasharp, i dont see much point in selling it for a decreased price, and then buying a Hazro in order to make £50...

I had a U2711 and sold it, its just to much resolution unless you slap it right close to you face on the desk.

I sat about 2 foot from the monitor and it was a pain after a while, I think the 30" monitor suits this resolution better.

I think I'm going to go to 3 of the new Ultrasharp 24" Dells when they come out at a sensible price instead of the preorder of £480. The funny thing is these new dells work out at £244 in the US.

It looks like i'll be getting refunded for the U2711

I had a look at the Apple Cinema display and it looked great, with no antiglare. I forgot to check the connections. Does it have all the usual - dual DVI, HDMI, displayport etc?

What panel does the Apple have and do you know of any reported issues? - panel issue, buzzing etc that some of the Hazro screens have

Apple screen has the same panel as the Hazro, also from what I've seen the problems with Hazro is small compared the amount they've sold.

They're sold out on their main site completely.

Also a the Apple monitor only has a Mini-Display port, if you have the cash go for that over the Hazro though. It's got much better build quality, which is why it costs more then the Hazro.
