Meh just set up my new pc tonight i bought from ocuk,

opened up my monitor box, noticed some of the hard foam that surrounds it was cracks , big cracks.

anyway the i went to clean my monitor and noticed from the top right of the monitor to the top left the screen is lose , the bottom is fine.

it actually pushes in and u can hear it flexing.

the actuall screen ie the panel isnt damaged its just lose.

gutted guess ill be phoning the shop when it opens

any ideas when the shop reopens after the holidays?

Seen this thread and just pressed mine in a few places ...

Top right & left I can feel & hear the screen move a bit  ?????

Bottom is fine ...

Any other U3011 owners care to try this ????

Edit: Had not noticed this before as the screen is visually perfect.

My 20WGX2 does this when cold too. It's very common in higher end monitors to allow for expansion when heat cycling.

I have the Dell 3008WFP & the screen also moves in & flexes. I read a post on one of the Dell Support forums asking if this flexing screen was supposed to happen & a Dell representative said it is meant to & its nothing to worry about.

Yeah - but what will the screen movement allow to get in there! I think I have some dust or other mark INSIDE the screen cover which is starting to bug me ... may need reaplcement as it is not something that I can remove !!!!

it should flex and expand a little when heating up over time and contracting again when turned off but you should certainly not be able to reveal the main screen by moving the frame. if that's happening then it's damaged.
