Hi there,

Since the Dell U3415W thread was locked a long time ago I decided to ask here..

I have heard you can overclock this panel to >60Hz, however if I do this (using NVidia Control Panel and then changing it in Windows), it skips frames - Is there any way to avoid this or am I entirely out of luck? Or worse still, am I going about it the wrong way?

It's revision A01 if that matters.

Cheers,

I have done it with a 27 inch dell, and it happily ran at 90hz, however it made me nervous and I really didn't see much benefit, so I put it back to 60hz. Did it the same way as you, but had no skipping of frames.

Is it screen tear when gaming? In which case maybe your GPU can't keep up with it. Otherwise sounds like you may be out of luck. But I wouldn't cry, you still have a great monitor

It's nothing to do with screen tear or anything like that, I only really want to do it to try out a higher refresh rate (I have never used >60Hz) before putting £500 on top of my U3415W towards an X34. - I was just wondering whether I had gone about it the wrong way or something. If it's not possible at all I will buy a cheap B-Grade 144Hz or something just to try it I guess!

Thank you :)

Doesn't work for me at all :( - 61Hz was fine, anything higher caused my monitor to complain at me.

Thanks for your help though!
