I've always liked Dell monitors after my first U2711 some years ago (which still gets used with a laptop!)

Dell have priced at $1500 with availability in US from June 23rd.

Almost seems reasonable given recent pricing on other monitors from Asus and LG

Having just looked at the monitor manual for the U3818dw, it briefly mentions a refresh rate upto 85Hz but preset at 60Hz max. That gives me the impression that the LG on which it is based on should allow a user to tweak it themselves with some reasonable success. For example, on my Dell U2711, using the nVidia monitor tool, I got my monitor upto 70Hz stable.

I'm not too bothered about Freesync if I can adjust the refresh rate upover myself, plus its fast 5ms game timing is reasonable. Dell have a much better base on their monitor compared to LG 38" (which is notoriously wobbly) plus their display manager tool is very mature too. The KVM is a nice bonus !
