Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP (or similar 24-26" monitors)

Hi,
I am thinking of getting the Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP. Judging from reviews ive read this seems to be about the best in its class. Decided to go with a 24-26" ish monitor at 1920x1200. Will be mostly using it for coding and design work.

anyone got any recommendations for similar, better monitors to get?

The BenQ FP241W gets shining reiews, and is cheaper than the 2408WFP, but is older, doesn't look as nice, and has some problems with it's HDMI port. It also seems to be getting harder to find. The NEC seems to be the closest competitor with the 2408.

You might want to have a look at the HP LP2475w and NEC 24WMGX3 as well, both very good monitors, and very well reviewed.

trust me, dont get the dell, get the NEC 24WMGX3, i had the dell last week, it came with a dead pixel, and some colours being lighter to the left of the screen than they were on the right, got a replacement and it had the same issue, have the nec now, and its perfect, i couldnt be happier
