Am I to understand that these bad boys have composite in, as in RCA, as in I could plug my console, video camera, dvd player etc into it... and it isn't a monitor - TV combo?

And the 20.1"? (that's about the limit of my current free cash)

Also, does anyone know of any cheaper monitors that have the composite in?

It's worth noting that composite looks terrible on these screens (as should be expected)...wouldn't recommend it for extended use. You could always use a VIVO graphics card or a TV-card to input, and this will probably give better results (as well as opening up monitor selection), but still won't look great.

Does the composite look terrible because the signal is being stretched to fill the screen? If so then does the monitor have PiP, so I could display the composite at a lower resolution?

I think the bottom line is: Do you think I could get away with using the 20.1" model as both my desktop monitor and a display for my PS2/GC/XB/Wii (Whether it be full screen or a PiP window)?

Composite is very low quality to start with, it's all three colours combined rather than seperate RGB like RGB scart or component, and yes having such a low res stretched onto quite a big screen doesn't look great either. PIP should look ok though, since the PIP window is quite small (even at it's biggest it's only about 1/8th of the screen).

The 2007WFP has s-video too, so you can use that for some of those consoles. Still doesn't look great though. Tried my xbox through s-video on my 2007WFP and it looked pretty blurry for whatever reason. It must be something to do with the scaling. It's a great screen for the 360 at 1280*768 using the vga cable, but for older consoles I wouldn't like to have to use them on my Dell for any extended period. They look far better on a regular TV.

Don't have space for a TV and a monitor unfortunatly... so I guess I'll either go the TV card route or put up with blurry images...

Need to figure out a way of seeing how blurry it is without actually buying one first.

Sadly my digital camera is too poor to give you a good idea.

I did think it was approaching unuseable though (xbox through s-video and gamecube through composite), certainly up close anyway, at normal PC viewing distance. Maybe from 4-6 foot away it would have been bearable.

To clarify, the TV card may improve matters slightly, but don't expect miracles. If your budget will stretch to it then get VGA boxes for each console (or a universal VGA box that accepts, say, component (not composite!) ins...then plug into the VGA on the monitor (via a VGA switch if necessary). This will maximise your image quality.
