So my two year old dell monitor has started to display this red vertical line two months ago. It is only visible for the first couple of minutes after turning the monitor on and then disappears.
Then the problem disappeared all together for a few weeks and has just returned again.
It is not a major issue, since the line is not permanent but it does kinda annoy me.
After googling the problem I found out that its quite common and that Dell replace faulty monitors with refurbs. Many of these refurbs seem to be even worse than what they replace. This is pretty much why I haven't bothered to take the RMA route.
Now, I am wondering if anybody here has experience with this problem and maybe know a fix for it? Or should I take the risk and have it replaced?
