Dell Vostro 1015 performance

I recentley purchased a Dell Vostro 1015 for a reasonable price but am not particularly happy...

My main gripe is the length of time in which it takes to boot up, needing to leave it for maybe 5 minutes after logging in to ensure that it doesn't freeze up; I've doubled the system cache and that helped a little bit but I'm still struggling with it

Is it worth upgrading or should I sell it and get something with abit more power?

What's the spec? Have you done a clean install, as I always find that helps even with new systems.

It's probably due to the amount of bundled software installed from DELL. I had exactly the same for a friends DELL Mini 1012, uninstalled all pre-loaded software including the bundled AV and booted up twice as quick.
