Dell vouchers?

I have a couple of questions that somebody might be kind enough to help me answer:

How frequently do Dell money-off vouchers appear online? I'm hoping a 10% off voucher will pop up soon.

Also, is it possible to use those vouchers on the Dell business site?

I'm sure there will be another in a week or so. They usually have them going all the time.

I haven't seen any for business models. (vostro i presume?), but keep an eye out.

am i allowed to recommend a good voucher/deals site or is this against the rules?

I'm actually looking to buy an M1530. I don't know if you're allowed to mention those sites, but I presume you're talking about 'hotukdeals.com' - that's the one I use.

does the 1530 work out cheaper on the business site? last time i checked there was no difference.

There was also a 15% off voucher floating around for the 1530 in the home user section.

The thing about dell is that the offers/prices are always changing. Free delivery one day, £80 off the next. You could buy one day and then they start selling it cheaper the next, or vice versa.

From my own experience, and from what others have said, the best way to get things cheap is to ring up and have a good bartering session.

the website you mentioned is the best place to look for voucher codes imo.

It is cheaper at the mo, but that could change depending on what vouchers pop-up. The 15% off one is expired now.

About haggling, I don't think it's really possible - at least not now that dell have moved their call centre to India. I called up the other day to see if I could use the 15% off voucher in conjunction with the student discount they do (5% off, free del). The woman I spoke to wouldn't budge from the standard price (£567, when I wanted £500).

This was how part of our conversation went:

Indian woman: You really should buy this laptop - it is fully upgradeable...

Me: Well, it's not really is it, because it's a laptop.

Indian woman: No, not really... but it is future proof!

Lol.

I bought mine via an indian call center. I managed to get a discount and a free laptop bag thrown in.

Sometimes if you are getting no where with one sales person, then you have to ring again and again untill you find someone more generous.
