I've got a U2515H, which i've had since June 2017.

The monitor has developed an issue where on white or light coloured background, theres a small dot, roughly the size of a BB Bullet, that displays a lot brighter than the rest of the screen. It's not really noticable on a darker backfground.

I've gone on to the Dell UK Website, entered the service tag etc and it's telling me that m product is registered in another country? That country being Germany?

Has this sort of thing happened to anyone before? Or known of this sort of thing?

I RMA'd a Dell monitor back in about 2015. I can't remember the details about a country of registration, but I do remember speaking to an American call centre to get it sorted. Was a fantastic RMA process - they delivered the replacement monitor about 2 days later and arranged a collection for the old one the day after that, so I actually had both monitors at one stage instead of the usual 0 monitors I was expecting with an RMA process :P

Yes Dells "Standard" warranty is 3 year door step swap, and I includes the premium panel guarantee, so anytime until the warranty expires they will swap it even if a single bright pixel is found

Even if you buy a Dell monitor from elsewhere it'll still have the warranty but I am not sure when it starts.

The tag needs to be registered with Dell (if not bought direct from Dell). May be faster to contact the retailer, seems to be a few different forms of registration required depending on how it was purchased.

The warranty is fine though as long as the product has a tag.

Is this for sure? The last bit ?
You can buy the monitor from anywhere and the warranty applies? Sorry to piggyback on the thread, looking at a dell U3419w
