Dell Webcam Manager

A few months ago my Studio Dell 1735 lappy crashed. After reinstalling, I can't get the Webcam Manager to work anymore. Been on the phone with Dell (for hours ), they tried everything, but it is still not working. Dell doesn't want to spend anymore time on it, cause they don't support (their) software.

Anyone any bright ideas?

Do you mean the webcam doesn't work or just the software?

If the software there are a few free programs that may be able to do the same job.

Unfortunately I have no idea what may be the problem .

Webcam works fine when using skype and the such. It is the software (Dell Webcam Manager / Dell Webcam Center) asking for a driver, whilst the driver is installed. Yep, for the time being I have downloaded free software (AmCap), but it doesnt do what the Dell program was able to do. Oh well..to hell with Dell. thanks Amp.
