dell xps broken screen

ok right,

got a dell m1330 sat here with a cracked screen, simply whats the easiest way to get an output via hdmi so i can still use the lappy for now? the screen is cracked enough for me to only be able to see about a cm down the left hand side of the panel. It's running vista and im not too sure if theres any easy way to bypass the screen and run through hdmi?

will get the screen fixed, just not got funding yet for it so need a quick fix

normally there's a dual function key around the Function numbers that changes display output to a monitor form the screen.

nothing seemed apparent, but i managed to get into the nvidia settings and detect a new display so alls working now
