Dell XPS H2C only seeing 2.5GB of RAM.

Hey Guys,

Go easy on me, havn't ventured into the PC sections in a long time since selling out and going to Macs for the last 18 months so i have kinda forgotten all the particulars.

I am over in Portugal at the moment visiting my parents and my step dad has a Dell XPS H2C (may be the 710), and i noticed when searching the system specs that it says it only shows 2.5GB of RAM, i was a bit confused because i thought it came with 4GB standard.

A more thorough investigation in Everest shows there is 1GB Dimms in each slot on the board totalling 4GB.

Am i right in thinking XP 32 bit only supports 3GB? Or is my memory failing me?

Cheers in advance, 2GB was a lot of RAM when i had my PCs :p

Exactly what i thought, not so much out of the loop as i thought.

I think when he bought it there wasnt a vista option, there was only XP Pro for the H2C model for some reason.
