Knowing the CPU is not enough. The GPU is just as important, what's the particular model you're interested in?

A 7850 is pretty much the recommended for Battlefield 3, or a 660Ti. If it is the XPS laptop, it will likely need a 670M or whatever the mobile equivalent of the 670 is...

I used to play BF3 on my Dell XPS 7100 PC and all it had was a ATI 5450 half height Card ...and it was actually ok...well if you're ok with freezes and crashes lol

Are you considering buying a Dell Machine, Or do you already have one ?...cos if you're thinking of buying a Dell ....dont bother, their pc's are over priced rubbish

A 660 OC is fine. I get around 55 - 65fps maxed out.

For lower settings, most mid range machines are fine. Even the higher end AMD Trinity laptops can play it on nice settings.

a 670m is nothing more than a rebranded 580m, still a fermi chip not keplar.
