dell xps m1330 questions

Just got mine up and running nicely, a few things I would like to know about.

1. How do I disable the trackpad when I am using an external mouse?

2. Can I improve the reception of the wireless receiver? It says it is 'n' type but struggles for signal where the old macbook 'n' receiver was fine.

Any help much appreciated.

not sure about the mouse, but there is a issue when you have bluetooth and wireless running together. Disable bluetooth in device manager and wireless signal and speeds will improve
