Hi guys,

I recently purchased a Dell XPS M1530 laptop with a customised spec and have been more than happy with it so far. The only thing I've come across is that the wireless seems to remain disabled after the laptop has been put to 'sleep'. On further investigation it appears that this is a common problem with the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG network card that ships with the M1530's when running under Vista. Mine came with Vista Home Premium pre-installed.

I've read a fair few forums and blogs that offer advice, but nothing seems to solve the issue. I've tried the Dell driver update (http://support.euro.dell.com/suppor...=5&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=5&fileid=220548) to no avail. I've also tried a driver update from the Intel site (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det... Vista* Home Premium, 32-bit version&lang=eng) which also made no difference.

I see a few people on here have the same laptop, so I'm guessing some of you must be experiencing the same issue.

Has anyone got any advice as to how to solve the problem? If not solve it, how to reduce the amount of times that this annoyance occurs?

Thanks for looking! :)

I just stop windows from turning off the device via device manager. Never ever had a problem with it

I have tried that, but seems to keep reverting back to allowing Windows.

What drivers are you using?
