DELL XPS M1530

I know there Is another XPS thread but Its 50 odd pages long and no one
will see me question

Are all the Nvidia graphics chips In this laptop still "flawed"? As In design fault?
I know there Is an update to make the fans cool It better but that to me sounds like a work around rather than a fix.

Is the Nvidia chip Issue reason enough to avoid this laptop as all costs?

I do warranty calls for Dell. I'm still replacing motherboards for this issue every day (1330 and 1530 as well as various latitudes and precisions). Having said that, I haven't yet had to replace anyone's motherboard a second time so if you're buying now you might be OK. Plus you could just buy the 3 year warrany and not worry about it - the warranty is usually pretty cheap.
