Dell XPS Question

I am thinking about changing my screen from 1600 x 900 to 1920x1080 full HD , any advice and is is worth it ?

Are you talking about a 17.3" panel?

It's worth it for the extra pixels and the higher quality visuals but it depends on you being able to find one of the better spec full HD panels.

The AUO B173HW01 V.4 is glossy, 90% gamut (most other panels are ~70%), looks amazing, and also has reasonable vertical viewing angles. It was and likely still is the one most people want.

The LG LP173WF1 TLC1 is also glossy but the rest of the specs especially the vertical viewing angles are poor by comparison to the V.4. I was sent one of these when I ordered the V.4 and I returned it especially due to the poor vertical viewing angles.

There is also a AUO V.5 which is a matte panel and there are other newer panels from other manufacturers available but I haven't kept up to date to comment on them.

It's specs appear to be decent.
