I got a new XPS recently and it's great apart from the USB 3.0 ports.
When I plug anything in there, Windows detects it and runs the device fine for about 5-10 minutes and then stops recognising it. I have to restart the laptop to get it working again, and yet I get the same results. I've tried uninstalling the controller drivers and downloading the ones on the Dell site but to no avail.
I had an engineer come round the other day and replaced the USB daughterboard, which didn't fix the problem.
Anyone else had this problem? Might I have to contact Dell to return the laptop?
