Could someone help? I have a laptop with windows XP pro, and a desktop with Vista Home Premium.

I installed the laptops Windows XP pro onto my desktop, and planned to put vista onto the lappy, but after installing XP pro, it did not ask for a serial number, and appears to be running happily alongside the same laptop version.

I presumed if i tried to run them both at the same time id have conflicts, but no problems so far (i dont really want vista on my laptop, but id rather have XP on desktop than on the laptop if im forced to make a choice).

just do it, its not like MS are going to prosecute you for it when there is a million and 1 others doing exactly the same.

That's hardly the point though is it?
These forums manage to stay around 99% anti-piracy/anti license abuse/theft (I'm pleased to say) - so advising somebody to break license agreements doesn't make the greatest of posts.
I probably wouldn't get prosecuted if I went online right now and downloaded a PC game or two.
It's not the point, it's still illegal, it's still immoral etc.

There are plenty of other places people can go to if they want to break licensing rules/thieve software.
