Hi folks

I usually have one or two coffees per day. After day 2-3 the light for the Grounds Container Full is on. The "bucket" is nowhere near full... but there are some grounds beside it on the grey tray.

Anyone else experiencing it? Anything I can do to resolve?

Cheers

Had it two months. I could call De'longhi...and I bought from Amazon.

I probably get 2-3 coffees made before the light comes on. I suspect it's to do with the grounds spilling into the tray (the puck goes in the correct place). I'll get a pic later and experiment a bit.

Not sure what amount and coarseness it is on (or what it "should" be on).

The coarser the grind the less tightly packed the cake (coffee pat) is and also more likely to fill the brewer unit, if grind time is long will do the same.
Have you taken brewer unit out, turn machine off, open door and should be just a case of squeeze two red bits in and gently remove.

I have the same model and mine also does this. Does my head in but I either empty it or just give it a shake and put it back in. It doesn't do it all the time though,.

I have had a Magnifica at home and work for years. The grounds will need emptying on either A) Count on coffees made/Capacity or B) Time, whichever comes first. Time is due to it just going horrible and mouldy.

Yup, don't think there's anything clever going on. Maybe it's power cycles too that it counts. Sometimes it reminds me and the box is nearly full, other times as you say, only a couple or so.

I’ve got a very similar model and find the same. I think it is based on coffees made and time, because if I haven’t used it for a few days it will ask me to change even if there are only 2-3 lumps of coffee in the container.

I think you could be correct. Especially if you leave it in Eco and it goes on and off several times per day.
