I went to a back to the future party last night and there was a real dolerean car there. Absolutely rubbish car apart from the insanely cool doors! I popped in the drivers seat for a photo, and looked at the dash. I was immencly humoured by the fact that the speedometre only went up to 80MPH :p


So much for time travel ;)

Must've been an American model speedo - although the one shown in BTTF went to more than that didn't it? 120mph speedo?
 
Loose everything - they were put together by Irish trade unionists ;)

Deloreans are great...There's a Lotus Turbo-powered one somewhere...

Lol, that's true. I remember seeing a thing about the cars used in the BTTF films - it wasn't in the script for Michael J Fox to keep hitting his head on the drivers door - it just kept on not opening properly!

Apparently though you can get some good power out of the PRV V6 they put in them, as long as you strip off all the emissions cack they had on them for the US market. :)
