Delta 1010LT

The 1010 is a great card if you need lots of inputs and outputs.
I know two people that have the regular 1010 and the quality really is outstanding, plus M-Audio's drivers play nice with pro audio applications.

I hear that, on the LT version the converters are in the card (rather than the breakout box, as with the regular 1010). This makes the noise floor slightly higher I guess.

Other than that, and the lack of a breakout box, I believe the 1010LT is pretty much the same as the 1010.

If you don't need all those ins and outs, a Delta44, Delta66 (or even an Audiophile 192 or 2496) would do a good job.

If you do need them then the 1010LT is a great card.

It measures about 5 inches deep by 4 and a half high.

I havent got any images of the digital breakout cable but it's basically the same as the analogue.

As for a review, not really sure what to say. I've only used the analogue, and i use it through a spirit folio desk with a g4 mac and logic mainly. I find the noise floor to be fine. Not really noticeable anyway, i suppose it all depends on what you need the card for?.
A few weeks ago i used it while recording a drum kit and it sounded great :), i use it to record a lot of DI'd bass/guitar/decks etc, but it seems to find no hastle with 'live' mic'd recording. I also had the audiophile 2496 and am e-mu proteus, and the 1010lt is a much more versatile card, well at least it is if you want to record multiple inputs or mix on a desk. I havent used the MIDI capabilities so i can't really comment on that, i use an m-audio midisport usb jobbie because i dont really have call for MIDI at the moment.

Anyways, the 1010lt came highly recommended when i was looking (by lecturers and professionals, especially when used with mac and logic). If you have any more specific queries post up and i'll try and answer them, if i know :p .

I like Steinberg's Cubase. If you have pots of cash then SX3 is great.
If not then the SE and SL versions are also good and much more reasonably priced.

Its a great card I use one for my music pc, have Ableton Live with a bunch of softsyths and it handles everything I have threw at it. Great card if you need lots of in's and out's.
