Demigod €10 on Impulse

Not really, it's mostly skirmishes iirc.

Demigod was fun but i got bored super quickly. May have changed a lot since I got it at release.

its a truly fantastic game thats fast fun and addictive... also Stardock/Impulse dont use any DRM or rubbish like that.

there are numerous offline modes were you can tailor the game to exactly what you want ie upto 4v4 AI , Death match or Capture and hold etc etc.. there are 8 different Demigods split into Assassin or Commander roles which basically means different gamestyles again.

the game takes time to fully understand its mechanics, at first you dont seem to be able to do much, but after a few plays it all comes together to make one of the best rpg strat games ever!

regarding online, its actually extremely good fun even against veteran players, so if your like me who usually doesnt attempt online in rts/rpg games due to not wanting my butt handed to me, let me assure you this doesnt happen in Demigod.

9/10 and worth your cash!

There isn't a single player at all, not sure why you'd want to play single anyway as the bots are trash.

I still play it all the time, I love it....there are new demigods out very shortly too which should spice up the game even more.

Another reason I like the game is that I can play it in windowed mode to keep 1/2 the screen for a tv show or ocuk and the other 1/2 for demigod

/snip

your contradicting yourself :p

the single player aspect is great for learning the game, dont forget when you first tried it you probably didnt have a clue what was going on, what items you should buy, what each different Demigod could do.. therefore spending time playing versus AI is very handy and a stepping stone to the glorious online Light vs Dark battle !!!

If you want it simply for SP, then don't get it. The skirmishes can be fun, but there's no campaign, and the bot's are hardly Einsteins.

If you're prepared to play online, or with freinds at Lans, then it's worth every penny at this price :)

How much does the "rpg" part make up the game? How much does the rts part make up? - is it A LOT like supreme commander?

I completely dislike rpgs, so im not sure whether to go for this?

It's nothing like an RPG, and it's nothing like SupCom.

I'd describe it as a single-unit fantasy RTS. The only RPG elements are upgrade paths/skill trees, which are extremely simplified.
