I have heard of this game (I think it is a sequel/remake to some PS2 game?). Can't figure out much about genre/gameplay (is it one of these games that is big in Japan and flops elsewhere?).

Its a really simple fun game and because its so simple you could find yourself playing this for long sessions.

I downloaded the demo ages ago from the US marketplace and really enjoyed it. But I'm a sucker for J-Music.
 
It has been out for a while, i'm quite ashamed to have played the demo. It was frankly terrible coming from someone who has never played or heard anything about it previously. All you seemingly do is roll around absorbing all sorts of things, whilst occasionaly a king avatar pops up and jibbers to you like he's on mushrooms.

Fun for possibly 20 seconds imo

I think the full game is out in Japan for the 360. Not too sure when its coming here though.
 
20 Seconds is no where near enough time to play it properly! The more stuff you collect, the bigger your katamari gets. It's just so safisfying when you go from rolling up match boxes and coins, to being big enough to roll up oil rigs and islands and stuff.
 
Moody has it so I'm guessing he has a Japanese or US 360? It's in his recently played list, he'll probably be able to let us know more about the game.

I've never played the demo and have no idea what this game is about.
 
I just went "OH ******* HELL" at work and had a few people ask what was up.
I sent my 360 back to microsoft today, and I've been waiting for this game ever since the rumours started.

I loved We Love Katamari on the PS2, would love the chance to play Katamari Damacy.
Best game soundtracks ever too.

ive never played a katamari game before, basically roll around collecting objects... :confused:
dunno what else to say about it, other than i wont be buying it
