Denon AV + Virgin Media TV = Black screen

Hi all,

In attaching my Virgin box to my new Denon 2400 amp I get sound but no picture. Been doing a lot of research but always seems to be old 300+ post threads!

All info I can find is old and....if i'm honest...the AV community really seems to turn into an argument over the slightest thing! 90% of thread content are fights

Apparently it's because the virgin box sees the AV unit as a recorder and doesn't want to give it a picture. Do I need to go out and get a little HMDI switch or ???? Not sure what to search for on here.

1. An AV receiver doesn't care if your device can record or not. Its processing can not tell the difference.
2. Its likely a handshaking issue particularly around 2.2 which is pretty strict

Try a different HDMI cable or buy a 2.2 compliant one from Amazon.
The VM box is likely poorly made and regardless of what you try will have issues.
