Hi guys

So im asking here because you guys seem to know your stuff... :D

I have my new set up (above) with new HDMI 2.0 (3D Ultra HD 4K 2160p 1080p High Speed with Ethernet HEC ARC ) cables.
I've set it up like this...

Denon Receiver (HDMI monitor out) to Samsung 4K TV (ARC HDMI4). Then PC (GTX 1070) to Denon HDMI 1.
When i enable HDR on the TV all i get is flickering and random loss of picture etc.

When i connect my PC to my UA55KS8000 TV directly (same HDMI cable) and optical cable to Denon receiver for sound all is well.... HDR 4K 60hz (32-bit colour YCbCr444 ).

Have i bought the wrong cables, is my new Denon receiver borked, according to Denon web site it can pass 4K HDR.

What am i doing wrong!?

Thanks.

So i've tried all that and it seems while using the first 2 HDMI ports they don't like HDR from my TV

Taken from the Denon web site...

'With 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 21:9 video, 3D, and BT.2020 pass-through support on every input'...... Every input except the first 2 it seems?!

Ok, so its working now using HDMI 3. I'm not getting any flickering or dead picture etc... I find this a bit strange to be honest.

I'd like to know if anyone else has any input..... but i guess you're all in bed

In nvidia control panel...

3840 x 2160 @ 60hz
Desktop colour 32-bit
Output colour depth 8bpc no option for 10,12 (edit - there is an option to use 10bpc if i drop to 30hz YCbCr422)
output colour format YCbC444

all working now... through Denon Amp with no flickering. I was wondering about HDMI 4K 60hz so decided to ask here...

Sound is working through HDMI as connected to HDMI 4 ARC on TV on to monitor out in the back of the amp.

I've never been trying to get 10-bit 4:4:4, all that is/was happening was flickering when using the last 2 HDMI ports (4/5) on the back of the Denon amp.

But doing further testing it looks like none of the HMDI ports on the back of amp like HDR 8-bit 4k @ 60hz..... the TV is going off like crazy

So now i have the PC connected the old way...... PC to TV via HDMI (8-bit 4:4:4: 4K @ 60hz) and PC to amp via optical cable. I forgot to mention that the new cables i bought are 4/5 meters long soas to reach the Pc and back and were only 20 bucks each but they are 2.0 High Speed Ethernet gold plated etc

So i've taken the 5m cable out and its seems to be working as it say on the tin - 8Bit 4:4:4: 4k UHD @60hz.
Using 4m HDMI from PC to the Amp and 2m from TV to Amp. I'm going move my PC closer to the Amp and get that 4m down to 3m.

Thanks to all for your input, im a bit happier now as i've been pulling my hair out... :D

Cheers!
