Denon avr-x2400H

hi guys I have a lg nb4540 soundbar at the moment and wanting to upgrade so this will be my first stint into avr and found this device:

devices that will be connected to it via hdmi will be skyq 1tb,ps4 pro,xbox one x,nvidia shield,
what speakers and sub bundle will work well with the denon,

You need to go and have a listen to a few speaker brands. Also preference for music or movies? Size of room? And lastly budget.

Be aware with little speakers you need more power to get the same volume. Those speakers above need twice as much power as my wheelie bin sized speakers for the same dB output!

I've got the x2300 and its just the earlier years model to the x2400 and its one of the best AVR's I've had and it still gets regularly software updates. Try and stretch to some atmos speakers included even if you have to settle for up firers.

I also have x2300 and it will run any of those speakers just fine and the x2400 should be no different.. You can always add atmos at a later date if you so wish.

85db versus 91db. That means you need tons more power to reach the same dB as more efficient speakers.

Is their a big price difference between the x2300 and the x2400 or do you think the x2400 is the way to go ?

If go for the q acoustics. Although I wouldn't get the q sub it's not very good. The q acoustics speakers are great though. Just not the sub

hi I gather you no more than most noobies like me,
so if I said to you I have a max of £700 to get everything what would you be looking at ?
im really just getting my head around avr as I always been a soundbar person as its easier lol

The q acoustics are still better speakers. I've heard them.and very impressed with sound quality sound far better than price tag justifies
Like I said though the sub is not great so I'd aim for something like bk xls200 or similar
