Hi folks,

Has anyone got this receiver - is it any good? Looking to hook this up to my LG G3 and some bookshelf speakers in the near future. It would only be used for streaming services so I'm not sure if it is overkill (I don't plan to listen to music).

Thanks

If you aren't doing anything with multiple HDMI sources or multiple speakers (5.1, 7.1 etc) then would a stereo amplifier possibly be a better fit for you? For example the Cambridge Audio CXA61 (just as an example). You would use the SPDIF (Optical Digital Audio Out) on the G3 and pop that into the SPDIF input on the amp. Someone more knowledgable will hopefully come along and help! :D

Stereo amp will sound better but AVR gives more flexibility, future expansion. Bass management, room correction, processing, multiple HDMI in & out

Plus room EQ, speaker alignment, AV sync delay etc, DD & DTS decoding and downmixing.

Denons supposed to be pretty crap for music though.
